Asking the right questions

It sounds easy and we take for granted but asking the right questions takes a lot. But if we want to continue growing and understand the risks attached, we need to engage with it. Asking ourselves but asking others.

Learned some lessons recently. At first, we go through denial, then understanding and own reflection. We heard other people’s experience until it reaches you. When it is time for action.

Yes, a learning curve. Keeping a growing mindset takes a lot of discipline, courage and self-understanding. Worth every second you spend on it!

A great opportunity to react to your own self! And sometimes, silence brings you forwards as part of the reflection.

It is part of our grand plan and it will continue to involve.

Very luck to have a great partner asking great questions.

less! might it be more? or more is less?

there’re a log of thoughts out there on how the world will look like after we overcome this health calamity.

it is true to say it’s a great opportunity to continue with self-improvement both on the individual and professional levels. It is, no doubt!

we might enter into a period where everything will be about LESS. All around us will be optimised, rationalised, and improved. All life improvements, while we might gain productivity and use our time in a different way. Which way, depends on each of us, however, it’s a great time to take hidden dreams and have a go with them!

the new LESS normal was there before e.g. touchLESS solutions will continue to spread across industries. Other trends are emerging as LESS-live audiences, LESS everything which requires distancing. At least until a vaccine is available.

the MORE normal is re-inforcing previous trends: digitalisation, health, and wellness.

+ but we don’t live in distances – our social strengths show overtime that personal interaction is crucial to problem-solving. Also here, other requisites are key moving forward e.g. flexibility, authenticity, and willingness to interact with no hidden agenda. Emotions are good, especially now!

the MORE we share our stories, the MORE will be reached!

being a catalyst, all these have an important value to me. not a new problem to solve but an honest assessment of my own

less or more? more or less?

Short-term isn’t new

Considering these 2 months of nearly no economical development, it makes us redefine time, priorities and goals! Bankruptcies, bailouts, business disappearance in such short time means something, regardless the cause. While well managed companies will survive, they too are looking to become more sustainable.

Scaling in a sustainable way remains one of the best options, for companies and individuals. A lot of short term activities will lead the way to a new normal.

Easier said than done! This, to be achieved, deserves a lot of inner-energy, dedication and self-believe.

Considering the tech development is not enough to contain such a crisis, it impacts our everyday life differently.

Again the short-term view of immediate solutions and life simplification aided by tech might create long-term trends forging a new demographical landscape and unfortunately more inequality.

Short-term goals are something not unusual, more specifically in developing countries. It is fight for survival every day! Something to think about considering the global situation today!

Humanity has a great chance, an unique chance.

Longterm disruption and what are we taking from prior-crisis onwards?

Last week I presented to my team a new initiative on how we purposelessly can put our heads together. Considering a longterm world disruption (which gives me a lot energy) I want to bring my team forward and reflect which impact we will have individually and as a team.

With virtual interactions and cloud based solutions, how far will service be valued and relationships built? A lot has been done through online platforms before. Added value might take place simply by not going back to the prior crisis normality.

Change management and increasing empowerment lead us to learn more, discover a new world and probably put value on local actions in comparison to before.

Dealing with irrationality

Being outdoors exercising for two hours each other day is gold during this reality. A lot of reflection and expectation management go through my head. Also plenty of ideas and irrational thoughts come along. It is a kind of mental exercise with myself along the tracks. A lot of thinking takes place right after my jogging sessions, and I make sure I document how I feel, what I think and what I must take along. Keeping journaling alive, my inputs into my leadership notebook as well as practicing creativity on my websites as well as expanding this blog and my photography editing skills, keep my mind open, active, creative and healthy! #mudinyourtoe #healthymind #runningmotivation #creativity

Secrets of ONE Catalyst!

Being someone with a very high intrinsic drive and imperfect, I decided to setup a blog | MUD IN YOUR TOE. The name already says it: let’s get muddy! … to find a solution, get cleaned and move on!

Why a blog? | Basically for the overall progress, learning, collaboration. Storytelling by someone who believes there is always more to do, different ways to get results, original.

Out of a survey not long ago about my best-self, four words sticked out: High, Result, Forward, Think. Since then I started to frame these words into a scope that did not exist at that time, a scope of a catalyst person.

Continuing this discovery, I want to engage with the wider community and discover more secrets about catalysts! Who is up to it?

On target to reach my goals!

The year started and never thought I would be running a half-marathon. Soon, I will be running 21k in Oslo.

Another transformation!

By the end of the year, my goal is to achieve 1,200Km. Than in 2020 more!

Can we be better? Can we make things better?

Considering we always have more to do, simply substantiate that!

Let’s make the impossible possible! #tonidandel #mudinyourtoe
